MotoGP - Le Mans - France.
It was a fantastic trip that exceeded all of our expectations. The 150 miles in torrential rain on the way back without waterproofs certainly banished any wet weather riding fears. We travelled 960 miles in 2 days of riding, pretty good for virgin overseas riders.
The crazy French riders doing bike stunts all night were scary and the constant reving of the bikes on the limiter seemed truly weird to us conservative Brits. Camping a Donington 3 weeks later was very tame by comparison.
What next....
World Superbikes - Mangy Cours France.
We left Bath at 6am on Friday 5th October 2007 and returned to Bath on the evening of Monday 8th October. We traveled via Euro Tunnel and camped at the circuit for 3 nights, carring all of our stuff with us.
The weather was great and like a summer holiday. Although the fog on Monday morning was really thick but we made it with little drama.
Steve managed to drop his bike on the floor cheking in for the tunnel on the way back........ what a doughnut.....R1's bounce well.
We got 2 free Ducati base ball caps and helped the press team display the biggest Ducati flag you have ever seen.
And to cap it all James won.....just about....and we enjoyed seeing he celebrate on the podium.
Roll on 2008.
